My OTP: Shamila

Today’s post is about a certain fav couple of mine. And that couple would be Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. Now a lot of people seem to think about those two are a “weird couple” or “completely boring” or even “plain.” Now, I’ve just bit my tongue on most of this for awhile but I just want to put this out there: What the actual hell do you expect from them? To be this all star, glamorous, interesting-beyond-the-years couple? They’re just regular people who just happen to be famous. Let them live their lives. To me, I don’t see them as boring, weird, or plain. I think y’all just think that because they are a celebrity couple, so by some means they are instantly going to be showing out. For example, when a photo came out of them walking their dog Tarzan (so precious!), a whole bunch of you were saying they looked plain and weird. Y’all…they’re just walking their dog. Did you expect Camila to be rocking designer Gucci shoes, a Vera Wang mini skirt, a Prada handbag, with a tight velvety top while Shawn wore a leather-ish, designer tux while they walked their dog with a golden diamond incrusted leash? While simultaneously strutting? And the same thing can be said with the video of them walking slowly and people in the comments saying they look homeless. Not trying to throw shade, but something tells me between the two of them, they can afford better clothes then most of you and that’s on period. And let them walk at their own speed. They probably weren’t in a hurry, were tired, or just didn’t want to walk fast while talking. Jesus on a fluffy cloud, y’all really like to reach. But the blames not on all of you guys, most of it's on the paparazzi for constantly staying in celebrity's business. A lot of people think they’re boring because of the stupid press. But here’s the thing people: You are out here thinking that because they’re a celebrity couple, that Shawn is surprising Camila with some romantic trip to France where they’re having a romantic 8-course dinner on a private boat while some famous French singer is serenading them under a moon lit sky. When in reality, they’re probably in Shawn's place, looking at different food menus, deciding whether or not they want to order Chipotle or Dominos while they binge-watch Rick and Morty on Hulu. LIKE A REGULAR COUPLE. People need to stop assuming celebrity couples need to be so fascinating with their relationships. Do you think John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are doing extravagant extra crap? No. Beyoncé and Jay-Z? Uh-uh. Kim and Kanye? NOT ANYMORE!! Sorry, I had to do it. But anyway, none of them are required to show out for anybody. If they do, okay, whatever. In my opinion, celebrity couples who are constantly showcasing their relationship are doing it for one of two reasons: 1. It’s all a publicity stunt or 2. They’re doing it because the spark is starting to go out between them and they are trying to keep it alive but if they have to do that then they should just break up and stop forcing it. Shawn and Camila have a beautiful relationship and I think they need to just get married already so they can give us the cutest celebrity babies the world hasn’t seen since Beyoncé’s kids were born. In closing, please try to be respectful and try to stay out of their business cause last time I checked, the only people in this relationship are Shawn and Camila. Not any of you. All you can do is watch.

Ok, Can We Please Talk About Cal Jacobs From "Euphoria?"

Sweet Jesus, I'm so happy that I got into the show Euphoria when I did because this show is hitting different in ways I never thought possible. Now, you should know that I love me a good backstory for a character, particularly the sort of "villain/bad person" characters. So when episode three of Euphoria season 2 came out, the first 20 or so minutes literally had me broken. I never thought these words would leave my lips but oh my God, I feel bad for Cal. Now, before y'all go off and start canceling me let me just say this: I'm not stanning Cal, nor do I think that what happened to him in his past makes up for what he has done now in the present, but I'm kind of looking at this from a so...

New City, New Killer! Scream 6 Review

After seeing Scream 6 a second time, I can give my overall thoughts on the film. It is probably my new favorite out of all the Scream films, a spot initially held by Scream 5. This new movie was absolutely nuts, but that's what made it enjoyable. The characters were pretty good. The Core Four was satisfying in every scene they were in, the breakouts being once again Sam and Tara. The new people were okay and bearable, but Gale continued to steal every scene and bring badass energy (though I didn't like how they backtracked her character development from previous films for the first half of the film). My favorite from the film was Tara. And Kirby's return? *Chef's kiss* I almost cried when I thought she had died in Scream 4, but because the film gods are good, they brought her back for another round! I love the change of scenery from the small town of Woodsboro to New York City. Having the characters fight Ghostface in a city known for crazy crime and f...

Scream (2022) Review: What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?

What's your favorite scary movie?     Well, I can definitely tell you mine's definitely rising to be Scream (2022) ! The addition to the highly popular meta horror movie series brings together old previous heroes and fresh faces as we are taken back to the town of Woodsboro as the infamous Ghostface returns to strike terror and fear into folks once again. Set 10 or 11 years after the events of Scream 4 , 25-year-old Samantha Carpenter returns to her hometown of Woodsboro where her past comes back to haunt her as a new Ghostface makes her his new target. Now she must get the help the old survivors in order to stop the new killer.      This film, like the ones that became before, uses a certain movie theme that they base everything around. The first movie basing everything off scary movies, the second movie basing everything off of sequels, the third basing everything off of trilogies, and the fourth basing everything off of remakes. Thi...
